If you suffer from migraines, it could be that you If you suffer from migraines, it could be that you are chronically dehydrated or need extra magnesium.

Electrolytes - After reviewing many, many sets of labs, I have found that the majority of people with chronic health issues (including headaches and migraines) are chronically dehydrated. So if you suffer from headaches or migraines, it would be worth trying drinking electrolytes daily. 1-2 servings daily would be ideal.

Magnesium - Magnesium is responsible for aiding in over 300 enzymatic processes in our body. Magnesium deficiency is quite common especially among people with chronic health conditions. Supplementing with magnesium can help tremendously with headaches. My favorite form is Magnesium Glycinate.

Did you know your lab work might be telling you th Did you know your lab work might be telling you that you have low stomach acid? Certain markers can hint at poor digestion and nutrient absorption—one of the biggest signs of low stomach acid!

Lab markers that may indicate low stomach acid:
✅ High BUN – Poor protein digestion
✅ Low Iron/Ferritin – Reduced absorption due to lack of stomach acid
✅ High MCH/MCHC – Possible B12 deficiency from poor digestion
✅ Low Total Protein/Albumin/Globulin – Poor protein breakdown and absorption

When stomach acid is too low, your body struggles to digest protein, absorb key nutrients, and maintain optimal gut health. If you're dealing with digestive issues, fatigue, or nutrient deficiencies, it might be time to take a deeper look at your labs!

Did you know your stomach needs to be at a super a Did you know your stomach needs to be at a super acidic pH of 1.5-3.0 to properly digest food? When stomach acid is too low, the pH rises, making digestion sluggish and leading to bloating, reflux, and nutrient deficiencies. Many people think acid reflux is from too much acid, but often, it’s the opposite!
Here are three ways to help balance the pH of your stomach and support healthy digestion:

1️⃣ Support Natural Stomach Acid Production – Try apple cider vinegar (diluted in water) or digestive bitters before meals to gently stimulate stomach acid.

2️⃣ Use Betaine HCl with Pepsin – If needed, taking Betaine HCl supplements (under guidance of a practitioner) can help restore optimal acidity for better digestion and nutrient absorption.

3️⃣ Eat Zinc-Rich Foods – Zinc is essential for stomach acid production! Include foods like oysters, beef, pumpkin seeds, and chickpeas to naturally support acid levels.

Balancing stomach pH is key to better digestion, nutrient absorption, and gut health!
